About Ravda Village

Ravda is a quiet town situated about 2 kilometers up the coast from the World Heritage site of Nessebar and the bay that includes the busy resort of Sunny Beach. Ravda has its own fine sandy beach which slopes gently into the sea. It has an old fashioned family atmosphere and is never crowded. The centre of Ravda has many bars, restaurants and shops and although it is a tourist resort, many bulgarians also live and holiday there, helping to give you a taste of the real Bulgaria. Temperatures along the Black Sea coast average twenty seven degrees centigrade in the summer months and there are more than three hundred hours of sunshine in high season. There are many opportunities for excursions, with trips to Istanbul being one of the most popular and priced at around one hundred pounds per person, including a nights accommodation, this is great value. Car hire is also a reasonable cost and for the adventurous, it is a great way to see a little more of the Country. If you feel like some excitement, Sunny Beach is a short bus ride away.  It has everything for young and old alike. Make sure you have plenty of wear in your shoes, as you will walk from one attraction to the next in this very modern resort.  One can find here every conceivable opportunity for sports: surfing, water skis and parachutes, jet-skis, hang-gliding and banana boating, sailing, paddle boats, scooters, tennis courts, beach volleyball, mini-golf and horse-riding.  A genuine children's paradise - plenty of fun and games, fairground attractions, ice skating, children pools, slides, carting, and two great water parks. (There is also a free bus to these from Ravda) Without much traffic around, bike and cart hire makes an ideal family day out. You can even hire your own chauffeur driven pony and cart. There are restaurants, casinos, cabaret shows and dance clubs for the young at heart. Many restaurants and bars have traditional Bulgarian entertainment, such as fire-walking and dancing, whilst others offer live music every night.  The World Heritage Site of Nessebar sits at the tip of the headland and the entrance is dominated by an old windmill. Here, you can walk between the timber framed houses along the old cobbled streets, taking in the atmosphere of this ancient town. There are many shops, with fish restaurants and bars giving beautiful views of the sea and coastline.
